Gathering the Spiritual Peacebuilders: A Summit for Leaders of Subtle Activism
We propose bringing together 25-30 subtle activism leaders for a 5-day gathering at the famed Esalen Institute, Big Sur, California to help develop a common vision for advancing the theory and practice of the emerging field of subtle activism. The proposed conference would be the first comprehensive gathering of subtle activism leaders of which we are aware. Since we believe that it is through participation in a collaborative project that best serves to develop partnerships, we will focus our dialogue on the development of a common subtle activism program, perhaps focused on 2012. Our hope is that the gathering – and any program that may emerge from it – will help to coalesce the growing field of subtle activism and nurture its development for many years to come.
